The Ambleside Inn enjoys a fantastic location right in the town centre, making it easy to enjoy Ambleside. Guests consistently praise the spacious rooms, some featuring smart TVs, and the clean bathrooms. Many appreciate the cosy bar's rustic decor and the excellent range of beers and quality 'pub grub'; however, some found the food to be inconsistent across different meals. A lovely patio area is available, and the Inn is dog-friendly, though some rooms can feel a bit small when travelling with a pet.

mediocre stay

the food selection was acceptable and met basic expectations (nothing to write home about, though).
The room i had seemed to have missed a thorough cleaning. I spotted several stains on the toilet seat and hairs in the shower, a pretty unpleasant discovery.
